Extra-curricular activities

Enriching the curriculum

We aim to enrich the curriculum and provide the children with a range of opportunities.  We draw on expertise from both within our school community and further afield by welcoming visiting groups and workshops.

Examples of opportunities that the children enjoy being involved in are:

  • School Council with representatives from each year group;
  • A variety of School Clubs for Pupils eg, Art, Maths, Cookery, Sewing, Craft, Gardening, Multi-skills, Football, Cricket etc
  • cluster sporting activities throughout the year;
  • charity fund raising;
  • visiting drama groups;
  • visiting workshops;
  • Extended School workshops.

 St. Hubert's Forest School

We have a dedicated teaching assistant who delivers the Forest School programme to small groups of children during school time.  The purpose of the programme is to build on self-confidence, independance and creativity whilst enjoying an abundance of outdoor activities.

This term the children have been taking part in shelter building, bogart making, woodland craft and bug hotel building.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Stafford Borough Council Eco Schools for grant funding which enabled us to purchase tools and equipment for the programme.
