Friday 26th February
We are going to finish our story of 'Grandad's Secret Giant' today. I wonder what the present is? You had some great ideas for presents for the Giant. Click on the link below and listen to the final part of the story. I would then like you to see if you can answer the questions about the story from the document below. Remember to write your answers using sentences.
In our Maths this week we have been counting in 2's and 5's. Listen to the following songs and join in with them to practise this. I have then attached a variety of worksheets which practise counting in 2's and 5's. Please choose the one that you feel you would benefit the most from to complete today. If you have any time to spare, you could then go onto your Numbots account or have another go at sequence snake on Purple Mash.
We have DT this afternoon and we are going to be making another moving picture. This one is going to have a giant in it! The giant in our story kept popping up in unexpected places. Today we are going to make a pop-up giant picture. Follow the instructions on the powerpoint below and then see if you can make your own. I have no doubt that yours will be much better than mine - as usual! :-) Please send me a photograph of yours - I would love to see them.
In the story we have read this week in Literacy there was a giant who was different to all the other people round him. Here is a story about something else that is different to all of the others things around it. This story is called 'Elmer' and it is read by the author of the story - David McKee. I hope you enjoy listening to it.
