Friday 8th January

Happy Friday!

We have some fun activities planned for today. I hope you enjoy completing them.

For your Literacy work today I would like you to watch the video clip below about Diwali and learn about the story of Rama and Sita. Write some sentences about this story in your writing book. You could write about the main events or your favourite part. Don't forget your finger spaces, capital letters and full stops. Remember also to think it, say it, write it and then check it!

The Hindu Story of Rama and Sita | Religions of the World

Suitable for teaching 5 to 7s. An animated clip narrating the Hindu story of Rama and Sita. Subscribe for more Religious Studies clips from BBC Teach on Mond...

In our Maths this week we have been using our number bonds to help with our addition. I would like you to recap your learning about number bonds by watching the BBC Bitesize video clip and completing the quiz, then practise your number bonds by playing the Bond Bubbles game on Purple Mash.
In RE this week we are exploring our new Catholic Virtues. This half term they are, 'Generous and Grateful.' Check that you know what these words mean and then take some time to think about the things that you are grateful for. Maybe you could then say a prayer to say thank you for these things.
For your final activity of the week, I would like you to finish the story of 'Wolf's New Friends.' I have put Chapters 4 and 5 onto Purple Mash for you to read. I can't wait to find out what Ned's idea is! Next, see if you can complete the sequencing activity and put the pictures in the correct order to retell the story. I hope you have enjoyed this story as much as I have!
