Monday 1st February

You should have all received your phonics links for today - don't forget to join in with this phonics lesson. Please let me know if you are struggling with these videos at all or if you have any particular sounds that you feel your child needs to practise. Thank you.

In Literacy today we are starting to think about one of my favourite stories - 'The Enormous Crocodile' by Roald Dahl.  Listen to the first part of the story and then see if you can make a 'Beware of the crocodile' poster. I have included a template that you can use to give you an idea of some information that you may like to include on there.

In our Maths this week, we are moving away from subtraction and onto a new topic. We will be thinking about numbers to 50 for the next few lessons. Please see how your child gets on with this. Even if they are not already familiar with these numbers, they may start to see the patterns in them and begin to recognise some. If you feel that they are struggling to access the work, please let me know and I will find some additional activities to help with their learning. Many thanks for your support. Today we have a very practical lesson based on numbers to 50. Watch the video below and join in with the practical counting activity at the end.

This week is Children's Mental Health Week. The theme for this year is 'Express Yourself.' As your PSHE for this week I would like you to read through the powerpoint slides below and see if you can create your own wellbeing bingo board to play.
