Monday 22nd February

We are going to be reading a new book for our Literacy over the next couple of weeks. I will tell you a bit about this story and show you today's work using the link below.
We will be practising counting in 2's for our Maths work over the next couple of days. Today I would like you to watch the video below then see if you can write out the numbers to 50 in your maths book - making sure that they are neat, careful and the correct way round!  Use these numbers to help you to complete the skip counting that is suggested at the end of the video.

Spr1.7.1 - Count in 2s activity

This is "Spr1.7.1 - Count in 2s activity" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

For our Science today we are learning about animals diets. I would like you to use the following Oak National Academy lesson to learn about this. You will notice that they also mention invertebrates (crustaceans, arachnids and insects) in their lesson. We have not studied these so don't worry if this is new and you are unsure about labelling these animal groups. I want you to concentrate on the part about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores today. I have, however, also included some very short BBC Bitesize video clips about invertebrates for you to watch so you can find out a little bit more about them if you would like to.

There is a carnivore in the story I have found for you today. I hope you enjoy it.
