Spring Term Vehicle- Fitness for All
Fitness for all
In this curriculum vehicle we will be learning all about Stafford and fitness in order to create a fitness trail, which could be used by people as a walking, running or cycling route. We are planning to organise a 'Fun Run' to raise money for our special school charity, 'Mary's Meals'.
Spring Term Curriculum
In our RE lessons we will be learning about the Christmas Season in Church, the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation and the Liturgical Seasons of Lent and Holy Week.
Our English lessons will encourage our development not only of English skills but also our multicultural awareness. We will be learning about the Jewish faith and visiting a synagogue. We will also be studying 'The Boy in Striped Pyjamas'. Through this work we will learn how to read and write explanations, non-chronological reports, diaries and letters. After half term we will be studying the poem, 'The Highwayman' and the novel, 'Clockwork'.

We will be learning how to use Spreadsheets and creating advertising posters in our ICT lessons.
In art lessons we will be developing drawing and sketching skills and will learn about LS Lowry.
Our DT topic will look at T-shirts for special running events and allow the children to come up with designs for their own T-shirts and sports clothing products.
This half term PE lessons will be based on football and netball skills. Next half term will be Hockey and Dance. The children will also be completing the Daily Mile and trying to improve their fitness.
