Year 3

Welcome to Year 3!

Teacher: Miss Vaz

Mrs Jones will also be supporting Y3 before her maternity leave

Year 3 have settled back in to our new school routines and have been working really hard over the past few weeks. We are really proud of all of the children!

If you have any questions or worries please feel free to email me:

During Autumn term, our vehicle is:

"Singing from the Treetops!"

The outcome of our learning this term is to create a rainforest / jungle themed DVD.

Visit our vehicle page to find out what we've been getting up to from week to week!

Equipment for Year 3

If possible, please can you bring a pencil case to school, with your own classroom equipment.

  • Pencil
  • Rubber
  • Ruler
  • Glue Stick
  • Pencil Sharpener
  • Coloured Pencils
  • Felt tip pens (optional)

It would be very helpful if your equipment is also labelled with your name on it.

Don't worry if you don't have all of these things, we are just trying to minimise sharing of equipment where we can. laugh

Now your child is in KS2, they won't have access to free fruit at break time. Please send your child into school with a healthy snack (which is labelled). Thanks!

PE kits (including trainers) will be needed on Tuesday and Wednesday for our PE lessons. Please make sure all PE kit is carefully labelled with your name.

Please also remember that ear rings must be removed on PE days!

What our classroom will look like:

Here are some pictures that I have taken of the classroom.

You will notice that we are going to be sat in rows at the start of the year.

We will also be keeping our coats, bags and lunchboxes inside the classroom at our tables (so please don't bring anything in that you don't need!) smiley
