Quirky Cafe!

This term the children will be working towards hosting their own cafe for family and friends. Along the way, they will experiment in D&T to create the perfect menu but there may be some surprises when you visit!

We visited Cup A Cha cafe in town this week. We were greeted with big smiles, enjoyed some delicious refreshments and asked Chris from the cafe some excellent questions. This visit has given the children some great ideas and has made them really excited at the prospect of creating their own cafe.

This week in DT, we tasted lots of different smoothies that are currently sold in the supermarket. We used our 5 senses and thought about which ones we liked best. This has given us some ideas for when we create our own smoothies for our cafe!
