Routines
- milk (up to the age of 5) and fruit is provided daily for your children
- all equipment needed will be provided by school, no need for pencil cases in Reception class
- PE (Term 2 -Tuesdays) – please send your child to school in their PE kit on this day
- Homework – daily reading and practise of phonics (further information will be given)

Phonics
Phonics is an important part of your child's learning in the first few years of school. At St Austin's we use the Read Write Inc (RWI) programme. To support your understanding of this we have put together lots of information and videos on our English page to help guide you step by step through your child's phonics journey.
