Monday

Monday (29.6.20):

THERE WILL BE NO LIVE LESSONS TODAY!

Today all the children at St Austin's are being invited to take part in the virtual annual 'Good Shepherd Mass' at St Chad's Cathedral.

This is a Mass which is for school children in our diocese (whether in school or online learning)- it will be celebrated by Archbishop Bernard and Dan & Emily from One Life Music will be leading the music.

As this Monday is also the feast day of St Peter & Paul, we would like you to join the Mass. It is being streamed at 10am on https://www.stchadscathedral.org.uk/ and Mrs Corbett / Mr Hoyle have asked you all to take part in this special occasion, as online learners, alongside the children who are back in school.

As part of the Mass, Andy Quinn CEO of Father Hudson's Care will be speaking about the incredible work that the charity has continued to deliver throughout the pandemic. To see some of this work he invites you to watch the attached video https://youtu.be/hMyekNneit8 which he will be referring to.

As we will not be having live lessons, I have set a short English task and a fun Maths task (based on angles).

I have also set an RE activity based on St Peter and Paul that I would like you to complete today!

See you tomorrow!

Thanks

RE: (Monday)

Today is the feast day of St Peter & St Paul.

Watch the videos to learn about the lives of these two very important saints.

St Peter- CLICK HERE

St Paul- CLICK HERE

Here is Dan & Emily's song "We are the Rock"- listen to it (CLICK HERE).

What does it tell us about St Peter and Paul?

After I would like you to create a poster about them both- telling me all about their lives and why they became saints.
