Red words 

All children have now got a list of 'red words' that have been added into their reading diary.  'Red words' can not be sounded out (Fred talk) so the children need to learn how to read them by sight. 

These words are grouped into colours depending on when they will be read during the RWI reading books. 

Please work with your child to help them to learn how to read each of the 'red words'. 

Extension - can they spell them? This will help when they write them into sentences
