Week 8 (15.06.20)

Make sure that you continue with your daily phonics learning. Use the daily lessons from the web link below. The Year 1 lessons are released at 10.30 am on a daily basis.

For our Literacy work this week we are using the story and activities of 'Pippety Skycap - a Tale of mischief!' from Talk for Writing. There are lots of suggested activities here to work your way through during the week. I hope you enjoy them!

Don't forget to continue to use Oxford Owls to access reading books for your child to read and share with you.

We are continuing with our work introducing the basic concepts of multiplication and division this week in Maths. Use the video links and worksheets below for your daily Maths work. Don't forget to use BBC Bitesize daily lessons and your Numbots account to consolidate and extend this work.
In our Science work this week we are learning about Amphibians. Watch the video links below to find out the key features of an amphibian.

You could write out the key features of amphibians, find out which animals are amphibians, investigate the life cycle of a frog and draw and label it in your books and have a go at the cut and stick sorting activity attached below.

For a bit of fun you may also like to listen to these pieces of frog themed music. They are both very different! Can you move in response to the music? Can you now compose your own?

And finally - here are a couple of frog themed stories that you may enjoy listening to.
