OPTIONAL Extra maths
In order for children to really understand g/kg, ml/l, cm/m etc, they have to have lots of practical experience of them or they remain abstract. If you have time, give them some kitchen scales and a measuring jug and encourage them to investigate. If they know what 250g/ 600ml looks like and feels like, it's easier to understand.
