Summer Term- Week 8 (15.6.20):

We will be doing TWO LIVE LESSONS each day.

ENGLISH- 9:30-10:30am

BREAK- 10:30-10:50am

MATHS- 11-12

I will post the link to join the lesson on 'google classroom' 10 minutes before it starts.

Please remember to turn off your microphone and camera before you join the meeting!

If you miss the live lesson, please still try and complete the work for that day.

I will continue to post flip charts / power points / videos / worksheets on the website for you!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reading:

Read theory: try to complete 1 or 2 of the comprehension activities each day.

I AM AWARE THAT AS YOU COMPLETE THESE ACTIVITIES THEY START TO GET HARDER AND SOMETIMES THE VOCABULARY IS BECOMING VERY ADVANCED / TRICKY.

If this is the case, and they are now too hard then please don't worry too much about completing the activities.

You could access Oxford Owl instead and do 15mins reading OR read one of your own books at home!

Remember it is extremely important to read a little bit every day!

Afternoon Activities:

ART

On Sunday it is Father's Day!

I would like you to have a go at creating your own card (this could be for your dad / grandad or any other special male figure in your life!)

You can use one of these designs or come up with your own!

I can't wait to see them! laugh

(CLICK THE PICTURE TO TAKE YOU TO THE INSTRUCTIONS!)

SCIENCE

Last week you learnt about 'man-made' and 'natural' rocks.

This week we are going to find out more about how sedimentary, igneous & metamorphic rocks are made.

Work through the powerpoint slides and re-watch the videos to remind yourself of the processes.

I would then like you to create me a poster to show me how sedimentary, igneous & metamorphic rocks are made!

HISTORY

This week we are going to find out about the 'social pyramid' in Egyptian times. This means who was thought to be important and who wasn't!

Read through the information and try and match the titles of the people to the correct description.

After I would like you to have a go at drawing a 'social pyramid' showing the different levels that people were!

GEOGRAPHY

This week we are going to find out more about life in volcanic areas.

People choose to live in volcanic areas (this may sound a little crazy!) and today you are going to find our the reasons why!

SPANISH

Have a go at saying when your birthday is and learning the numbers all the way to 31!

Work through the Oak National Academy lesson. (CLICK HERE)
