Tuesday (05.05.20)

Hello! Are you ready to learn? Let's hope so as we have lots in store for today!

Please complete your phonics learning today. The new sounds that you should have learnt recently are the split digraphs 'a-e', 'e-e' and 'i-e'. Maybe you could ask your parents to do a short spellings test for you and see if you can write some words using these split digraphs and spell them correctly.

For your Literacy today I would like you to think of all the farm animals that you saw yesterday and then choose your favourite.  Draw a picture of it in the middle of your page and then write all the facts that you can remember about it around the outside. You could use the sheet below or complete this work in your book. You can always refer back to yesterday's powerpoint if you want to remind yourselves of any facts that you learnt. When you are writing your facts don't forget to use sentences and remember your finger spaces, capital letters and full stops.

In Maths today we are thinking about fact families. Watch the video and then have a go at the questions on the worksheets below.

Year 1 - Week 3 - Lesson 2 - Fact families - linking addition and subtraction (1)

This is "Year 1 - Week 3 - Lesson 2 - Fact families - linking addition and subtraction (1)" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos...

And finally for today, I would like you to log onto your Purple Mash account and see if you can create your own farm picture.  Will you put all of the same animals in a field together? See what you can do. Good luck and enjoy!
