Year 5's Home Learning Page

Now we are based back at school, as well as online, it is even more important that we arrive in plenty of time for online lessons and face to face lessons in school. To help maintain social distancing and to keep us all as safe as possible Year 5 should line up ready to enter school at 9.15 each day on the yellow arrows - the only exceptions to this are keyworker children who may attend earlier by arrangement - please contact Mrs Bowden (Bursar) for more information.

The day will begin at 9.15 and we will run the morning very much like our virtual morning: Maths 9.30-10.30, playtime and snack, English 11-12pm, lunch 12-1pm, 1-1.50pm Foundation subject and Class book 1.50-2.15pm.

- You will need a pencil case with your own pencil, pen and crayons.  A rubber and ruler would also be useful. These will need to remain in school. Please be aware we are not able to share equipment.

-Please wear you school uniform. If you have items e.g. shoes that no longer fit please try your best to come in sensible  alternatives e.g. trainers.

-No Bags - You only need to bring you water bottle, cap (for hot days) and packed lunch to school. If you need to bring a bag please use a plastic one. Hot dinners can be ordered. Children may bring a snack for playtime.

-Please bring a coat to school. We will be outside and learning in the school grounds as much as possible.

- All belongings will be kept on your desk in the classroom we will not be using the cloakroom.

-If your child normally has an inhaler in school please ensure they return this on their first day in.

Please do not:

-Bring in books you have been working in at home

-Bring in reading books

The children will be provided with hand sanitiser and facilities to wash there hands regularly through out the day. There is provision for the children to also refill their waterbottles.

Things will be different when we return, as we need to maintain social distancing.  Each of you will have your own table and you will either be based in the Year 5 classroom or the Year 3 classroom. You will stay with that group of children throughout the day and will not be allowed to mix with the children in the other Year 5 bubble/pod or any other class.

Somethings will remain the same, each day we will find time to smile, laugh and learn together. We will still celebrate our achievements and work together through things we find difficult.

You have all been amazing through all of this and now it is your time to return to school to show off how fab you are.  I have no doubt that Mrs Charman and I will have the kindest, most hardworking and best behaviour class in the school!
