This week we are going to learn how to write instructions.  If you look around your house, you will find instructions all over the place.  In cookery books, in games, on sausage packets!  Instructions clearly tell us how to do something we don’t already know how to do.  They usually begin with a verb.

Watch the video on Youtube, ‘How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth’.  You do not need to write your out three times but do try to improve the ones in the book by adding detail.  Make sure all of your ascenders are the same height (unlike this teacher’s!) and begin each instruction with a verb.

Choose at least 2 of the instructions in the story and re write them, making them clearer.
