Welcome to year 3! I'm so happy to be moving up with you all and supporting you all in your first year of Key-Stage 2. Parents, as always, my door is always open and do not hesitate to get in touch with me if there is anything you are unsure about or any concerns that you might have. 

Class Information

Reading Challenge

 We have an exciting new reading challenge in year 3, ask your child about it! Please read with your child regularly and encourage them to read independently at home too. Please sign your child's diary as this will enable them to progress in the reading challenge (I suggest at least three times a week where possible). Many thanks!

Spellings

Children will be given weekly spellings on a Friday and will be tested on their spellings the following Friday. Thanks so much for your support with this year, the progress in spelling was absolutely amazing! Please ensure your child has their spelling book in on a Friday as we will be doing the tests in these this year.

PE days

Our PE days will be on Monday and Thursday this year. Please ensure children are in the correct PE kit and that any earrings are removed at home for these days.

Trips

I always enjoy taking the children out on trips and will endeavour to organise an outing each term. I have a particularly exciting trip out arranged in the Spring which I will inform you about in due course!

Year Three Class Saint!

The children have voted for our Class Saint and have chosen Saint Padre Pio. Saint Padre Pio was born in Italy and is famous for saying: "Pray, hope and don't worry.
