Welcome to Autumn term!

I hope that you have all had a lovely summer and are ready for all the fun we will have in year one! I am so excited to see you all again, and hear about everything you have been up to!

Our Class Saint!

In class we had a discussion about who we want our class saint to be. The children had the choice between St Francis of Assisi and St Joseph. The children decided that St Francis of Assisi will be our class saint as they felt that his love of nature and animals is something that we should be showing in our day-to-day life to help our environment as well.

Year One Spellings!

I want to share the spelling list for year one. These are words which the children should be able to confidently read and spell by the end of the year. We will be practising these in class but please continue this at home as well!

Class Reminders

Doors open at 8.40am for a prompt start at 8.45am for the children's first lesson.
Year 1 finish at 3.20pm.
PE will be Wednesday and Friday for the class and children should wear PE kit to school on these days. Please can earrings be removed on PE days.
Can all PE kits and uniforms be labelled with your child's name.
Homework is handed out on a Friday and due back in on a Wednesday
