  • World Book Day 2023!

    We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating World Book day today with the whole school.  The children have dressed up in various characters from their favourite books, remembering the importance of reading and how fantastic it can be!

  • Early Years Stay and Pray

    On Friday, Reception and Nursery parents were invited into school for a 'Pray and Stay' session with their children.  They celebrated the feast of the 'Lady of Lourdes' by making their own Rosary beads and praying 'Hail Mary' together.

  • Y2 Showcase Their Creativity Skills!

    Our Year Class had a fun time in their DT lesson last week, creating a chair structure for baby bear, using their own design criteria!

  • Year 3 are Making Music!

    Year 3 had an exciting visit from Manchester Camerata last week!

     

    As part of their schools project, the children have composed and written the lyrics for their own song, based on part of the book ‘Matilda’.

     

    The children loved this workshop and can’t wait to perform their song live to an audience at the Prince of Wales Theatre in March!

  • Celebrating 50 Years of Priesthood

    We celebrated mass together in school this week and had the opportunity to give thanks to Canon Michael as he reaches the 50th anniversary of his ordination.

    We thank Canon Michael for his guidance, support and prayers and we ask the Holy Spirit to guide him in faith.

  • Young Voices 2023

    Our Young Voices choir had an AMAZING time last Friday, singing their hearts out with 6000 other children, alongside Heather Small, the Beat Box Collective and Anna Phoebe.  The show at Resorts World Arena was a sell out.  A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our choir.  Special thanks to Miss Vaz for her continued commitment and hard work to ensure our Choir has a fantastic night year after year.  A big well done to all of the children who performed at this years concert - we are very proud of you!

  • Penalty Shoot Out

    Despite the cold weather conditions our Years 5 and 6 pupils powered on with their sponsored Penalty Shoot Out to raise money for Cafod.  Big thanks to Mr McKie and Mr Hancock for going in goal!

  • Baarmy Bethlehem!

    A HUGE well done to our “Baarmy Bethlehem” stars in Year 1 and Year 2! 

    The children have put on two fantastic shows over the past two days and really did sing their hearts out, boogie & get us into the Christmas spirit. Miss Vaz & Mrs Jones are so proud of you all!! We hope all our families enjoyed the performance…

  • Y3 and Y4 Cake Sale

    Our children in Years 3 and 4 held a cake sale to raise money for Cafod this week.

    A huge thank you to everyone who donated cakes and took time to bake at home. Everyone agreed they tasted delicious! Well done to all of the children and their teachers for working together to make this event possible.

  • Raffle prizes to be won!!

    Raffle tickets will be on sale before all of our Christmas performances this week - £1 per strip - all funds raised will be donated to CAFOD.

    There are lots of lovely prizes to be won, including this luxury hamper donated by one of our parents.
