  • Albert's Cake Sales for Mary's Meals

    Fri 11 Oct 2019

We are very proud of Albert Young from Year 2 who has been on a huge fundraising mission since the Mary's Meals assembly.  Albert initially set out to raise £100 and has so far raised over £250 making and selling cakes for the charity!

With a little help from mum, Albert helped to prepare, decorate and eat the cakes at the coffee afternoon last weekend which he named ‘Big Al’s Coffee Afternoon’ and he is planning to sell even more cakes at another event in the North this weekend.

Amazing job Albert - Well done!

  • Thank you Stafford Soup Kitchen!

    Mon 07 Oct 2019

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to The Soup Kitchen in Stafford who welcomed our Reception Class and staff on Friday 4th October.

The children all enjoyed a chocolate brownie and squash, courtesy of The Soup Kitchen, and were thrilled that they were lucky enough to be able to visit a real cafe in Stafford!

Our Reception children will be hosting their own café in a few weeks and have come away with a list of all the items they need including cutlery, napkins, placemats and most importantly, big friendly smiles to welcome their customers!

  • Time to Read!

    Mon 07 Oct 2019

All of the children in our Reception Class have been issued with a free ‘Time to Read’ pack, courtesy of the BookTrust, to take home and share with their families.

The pack includes the storybook ‘The Cave’ by Rob Hodgson and is designed to help children get excited about reading and encourage reading at home.

Children were asked to read the book with their parents and report back to Miss Barber and Miss Greatholder about what they found!

Pictured below are two of the children with their books in their very own class cave!!
