  • Young Voices #PowerInMe Singing Challenge

    On 2nd June 2020 2.30pm - you are invited along with families and children from across the world to pay tribute to all teachers by joining together to sing “The Power in Me” from the safety of your own homes.

    You can register your involvement at youngvoices.co.uk/powerinme to access free learning resources for the song. More importantly - we are asking you to share this email with your parents and children to get them directly involved.

    Between now and 2nd June, you are also encouraged to take part in the #PowerInMe singing challenge and to film yourselves singing the song’s lyrics “I've got the Power In Me" and post it online with the hashtag to see who responds completing the song’s chorus "You’ve got the Power in You!".

    Before 2nd June we have provided a selection of free online rehearsals that you can watch in school or at home to prepare for the big day:

  • Music Makes us Happy!

    Entrust, our music provider has launched the first in a series of ‘isolation orchestra’ videos this week, which will eventually include music service staff, school music leads and pupils.  If your child already participates in wind instrument / guitar lessons then they may want to look out for their music teacher!!

    The first video starts with some of the music service team and is the start of a weekly feature on the Entrust social media sites as well as on YouTube. 

     

    If your child is interested in commencing music lessons then they will be given the opportunity to experience a sample lesson at the beginning of the school year (2020/2021).  Guitar lessons are open to pupils in Years 3 to 6.  Wind instrument (flute and clarinet) lessons are open to pupils in Years 4 to 6.

    Miss Vaz is extremely proud of Y3!

    Lots of them have been getting ready for the 75th anniversary of VE Day by completing a variety of different afternoon activities this week. 

    They've been solving morse code, designing bunting, building spitfires, creating posters and lots more!

    Many of you have been following Joe Wicks' daily PE workouts, including Isabella and Joel Parkes, pictured here with their parents on dress up Friday.  They have been keeping super fit by following the sessions live every day since the beginning!!
  • What have our children been up to this week?!

    Here is just a selection from Y4 (Henry making brownies, Brandan making a model of the character in our story, Rose made flapjacks, Sam was cooking and doing an experiment on an egg!) and Y1 (Niamh made a beautiful cake, Wilfred drew an amazing picture of a castle, Theo was whizzing through his maths work and Yohan created a wonderful piece of art from a paper plate!!).

     

    You've all been working so hard and we are all super proud of what you are achieving at home.
