Today our children joined with Blessed William Howard and Blessed Mother Teresa’s to celebrate a virtual Mass for the feast day of St Peter and St Paul.

Tour of St Austin's Church

Today, Canon Michael welcomed Year 2 to St Austin's, for a tour. This linked to their learning about the Church and they really enjoyed seeing special symbols and artefacts of the Church up close!

Well done to our School Council for organising a successful mufti day & food collection today! Thank you to everyone for your generosity. Canon Michael was very happy with the donations for the St Austin's Church Food Bank and wrote:

Dear Parent/Carer,
I write to thank you and the School Council for your recent initiative to support the Parish Christian Food Help Project.
Your very generous food donations are very much appreciated. In fact they have come at a time when our stocks are rather low.
It was a great joy to have the Year 4 children load the food into my car and unload it in the Parish Hall.

Visit to the Ancient High House

Our Year 4 children had a wonderful time visiting the Ancient High House in town today. The trip linked in with their current learning about the Tudors.

Catholic Schools Competition

A huge congratulations to our KS2 athletics team who came 3rd in the Catholic Schools competition today.

Every single one of them showed great determination and tried their best during each of their races. We are so proud of you all!

Gold School Games Mark Award

We are delighted to announce that St Austin's have achieved the Gold School Games Mark award for 2022/23 for our commitment and engagement in the School Games this year.

A huge well done to all of the children who have participated and especially to our fantastic PE Leads for organising and encouraging our teams. Fantastic work all!

First Holy Communion Celebrations

Huge congratulations to our children in Y3 and Y6 who received the sacrament of First Holy Communion in Church on Sunday. The whole school will join in celebrations with the children during Mass this week. Following Mass, the children will be enjoying a celebration with their peers to commemorate their special day.
