Hi. How are you all today? I hope you are all feeling well.
Well done with the phonics activity on Purple Mash yesterday to those that completed it. You did really well choosing the correct sound. In the Letters and Sounds phonics lesson yesterday we practised the digraph 'oy'. See if you can read these words :
Now watch today's phonics lesson and see what the new sound is.
In Literacy today we are going to be continuing with our work about polar animals. We now know that there is the North Pole (the Arctic) and the South Pole (the Antarctic). There are different animals that live in the Arctic and the Antarctic. Penguins live in the Antarctic. Eleanor's Daddy has actually been to Antarctica with the Navy. He has sent us some videos and photos of the things that he saw when he went there. Look at these. WOW!
Do you see penguins outside your Post Office? I don't - but in Antarctica there were lots!
A baby Gentoo penguin.
Here you can see Eleanor's daddy at the penguin Post Office and with his ship.
Young elephant seals living in Antarctica. This one was trying to scare Eleanor's Daddy away!
And if you have time to complete a couple of other penguin themed activities you could try to draw your own penguin picture (see the link below) and/or join in with the Pedro the penguin Cosmic Yoga (you will also find the link for this below.)
